To provide a new compound utilized as an organic n-type semiconductor excellent in electron-transporting property.
This fluorine-containing polycyclic aromatic compound expressed by general formula (I) [wherein, Ar1, Ar2 are each a 6C aromatic hydrocarbon group or a 4C heterocyclic group; R1 to R4 are each H, a halogen atom or the like; R5, R6 are each H or a monovalent organic group which may be substituted by a substituent; s1 and t1 are each an integer of 2; and provided that at least one of the R5, R6 is a monovalent organic group of which at least one of all H atoms including those of the substituent is substituted by a fluorine atom].
