Abstract:
To provide fluorine-substituted perylenes for color filters in LCD.
Uses of the fluorine-substituted perylenes expressed by formula (I) in color filters for liquid crystal displays are provided, [in the formula, R represents H or an optionally substituted organic group; R1, R2, R3, and R4 independently represent each H, F, Cl or Br, or an optionally substituted organic group; and at least one group out of groups R1, R2, R3, and R4 represents F or contains at least one fluorine atom].
