To provide a fluoroelastomer composition having combined characteristics of improved chemical and thermal resistance, high hardness, low liquid permeability and good mechanical characteristic.
This fluoroelastomer composition comprises A) a vinylidene fluoride(VDF)-based fluoroelastomer matrix and B) a semi-crystalline fluoropolymer consisting of a semi-crystalline fluoropolymer core covered by a semi-crystalline fluoropolymer shell having bromine and/or iodine in the polymer chain, where the content of B) is 1 to 40 wt.%, preferably 5 to 35 wt.% based on the total of A)+B). The fluoropolymer B) is introduced into the fluoroelastomer A). The fluoropolymer B) is formed by a homopolymer of tetrafluoroethylene(TFE) or a copolymer of TFE with one or more monomers containing at least one ethylene type unsaturation, and has average particle size of 10 to 100 nm, preferably 10 to 60 nm.
