Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable fluoroether composition for narcotic use non- degradable even in the presence of a Lewis acid, and to provide a method for suppressing the degradation of the fluoroether in the presence of a Lewis acid.
SOLUTION: This fluoroether composition which is a narcotic composition is obtained by including a given amount of sevoflurane and also a Lewis acid inhibitor other than an enough amount of water so as to prevent the above given amount of sevoflurane from being degraded. The Lewis acid inhibitor is particularly selected from the group consisting of butylated hydroxytoluene, methylparaben, propylparaben, propofol and thymol. The other objective method for suppressing the degradation of the above composition is also provided.
