To provide a new polymer useful for a film etc. excellent in antifouling properties, non-adhesive performance, mold release characteristics, slip performance, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, electric insulation properties, antireflection performance, flame retardancy, antistatic properties, chemical resistance and weather resistance etc., and also having amphipatic properties and cleaning characteristics.
This polymer comprises in the molecule a structural unit A derived from fluorosilsesquioxane having an addition-polymerizable functional group, a structural unit B derived from an addition-polymerizable monomer having a hydrophilic group, a structural unit C derived from an addition-polymerizable monomer and having a polymerizable unsaturated bond-containing group in a side chain, and optionally, a structural unit E derived from an addition-polymerizable monomer excepting the fluorosilsesquioxane having the addition-polymerizable functional group, the addition-polymerizable monomer having the hydrophilic group, and the addition-polymerizable monomer having a functional group capable of deriving the polymerizable unsaturated bond-containing group. Otherwise, this polymer comprises in the molecule the structural unit A, the structural unit B, the structural unit C, a structural unit D derived from an organopolysiloxane having an addition-polymerizable functional group, and optionally, a structural unit E' derived from an addition-polymerizable monomer excepting the fluorosilsesquioxane having the addition-polymerizable functional group, the addition-polymerizable monomer having the hydrophilic group, the addition-polymerizable monomer having a functional group capable of deriving the polymerizable unsaturated bond-containing group, and the organopolysiloxane having the addition-polymerizable functional group.
