Title:
FLUORORESIN MOLDING WITH MODIFIED SURFACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3206310
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fluororesin molding improved in adhesion to not only an organic material but a metal by irradiating the surface of a fluororesin molding with a laser beam having a specific wavelength through a basic solution.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a fluororesin molding [e.g. a polytetrafluoroethylene or poly(vinylidene fluoride) molding] is irradiated with a laser beam having a wavelength of 150-370nm through a basic solution. The solution is preferably an aqueous basic solution having a pKb of desirably 5 or lower, preferably 4-0.1. Preferred examples thereof include an aqueous solution of a quaternary ammonium or phosphonium compound represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a 1-20C alkyl; R9 is a 1-20C alkyl or 7-20C aralkyl; X is an anion, e.g. a halide, hydroxylate, or alkoxylate; and Y is N or P).
