To provide a method for producing fluorosulfonylimides more safely, rapidly and efficiently while suppressing the formation of byproducts, and to provide the fluorosulfonylimides.
The method for producing the fluorosulfonylimides includes a step of obtaining an onium salt of chlorosulfonylimide represented by general formula (II) by reacting a compound represented by general formula (I) in the scheme with an onium salt, and a step of obtaining a compound represented by general formula (III) by reacting the compound of formula (II) with a fluoride containing at least one of elements selected from the group consisting of elements of groups 11 to 15 and elements in the fourth to sixth periods (with the proviso that arsenic and antimony are excluded), in this order. In the scheme, R3 is fluorine, chlorine or 1-6C fluoroalkyl; R4 is fluorine or 1-6C fluoroalkyl; R5 is an onium cation; and n corresponds to the valence of the onium cation R5, and is an integer of 1-3.
