To easily remote stain from a flush toilet stool by allowing a cover cost layer on the surface of a water storage portion of a flush toilet stool to contain a predetermined amount of a sodium component or a potassium component.
For instance, a cover coat layer covering the surface of a water storage portion of a western style toilet stool contains 2.6 wt.% or more sodium on a basis of an oxide converted amount in the total metal component in the cover coat layer, or contains 4.1 wt.% or more potassium on the basis of the oxide converted amount in the total metal component in the cover coat layer, whereby a self-cleaning function is imparted to the cover coat layer. The surface roughness of the cover coat layer is set to less than 0.07 μm by a stylus-type surface roughness tester according to JIS-B-0.651. Next, the cover cost layer is formed of an amorphous component and of a hydrating material. Further, the cover coat layer contains an anti-bacterial metal, and when silver is employed, the layer contains 0.1 wt.% or more silver on the basis of the oxide converted amount in the total metal component in the cover coat layer. Still further, the ζ-potential of the cover coat layer surface is set to a negative value. Thus, stain on the surface of the water storage portion of the toilet stool can be easily removed only by flushing water.
