Abstract:

To reduce the size while enhancing throughput.

A plurality of recording heads 12a, 12b are carried on a carriage 11 and printing is performed while moving these recording heads 12a, 12b in the arranging direction thereof. Flushing regions 25, 26 are flushed with ink drops under a state where the carriage 11 is moving. An adjusting amount input means adjusts the output timing of a flushing control signal being fed to each recording head 12a, 12b and the output timing of the flushing control signal for each recording head 12a, 12b is determined utilizing an adjusting amount inputted from the adjusting amount input means.
