PURPOSE: To maintain cleaness by a method wherein a flusing apparatus that automatically supplies flushing water to urinal stalls is made operable on signals from sensors provided to the urinal stalls and by a timer for supplying flushing water.
CONSTITUTION: Sensors 6 are provided in the vicinities of urinal stalls 3. Infrared rays are constantly radiated from the sensors 6 toward the front of the urinal stalls 3, and persons standing in front of the urinal stalls 3 are sensed by the infrared sensors. Signals from the sensors 6 are inputted into first control valves 2, and the control valves 2 supply flushing water in a quantity approximately of 1.5 liters each to the urinal stalls 3. A tank 15 for storing flushing water is provided in the middle of a second water distribution system 8, and a second control valve 10 is installed in the tank 15. Flushing water in a quantity approximately of 5 liters each is supplied to each of the urinal stalls 3 at fixed intervals by operation of a timer. Thereby, dirt by human waste or the like can be prevented from sticking for a long time.
