Title:
FLUX CORED WIRE FOR GAS-SHIELDED ARC WELDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009018337
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a flux cored wire for gas-shielded arc welding capable of materializing a weld metal capable of ensuring the strength of 600 MPa at 0.2% proof stress (0.2) and the V-Charpy impact value vE-60 of 30J at -60C, excellent in welding workability and optimum for a welding material of high-tensile steel.

In the flux cored wire for gas-shielded arc welding in which flux mainly consisting of TiO2 flux is filled in a steel shell, Mg of 0.01% by mass to the total mass of the wire is contained, the slug formed during the welding is TiO2-Al2O3-MgO slug. The composition of the slug is, by mass to the total mass of the slug, 50% TiO2, 1.0-25% Al2O3, and 8-30% MgO.
