Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the flyer used for the winding-off device of a wire-twisting machine for the production of a metal cord such as a steal cord, and in detail to provide the flyer used for a Buncher type wire-twisting device for lapping a metal wire on a metal cord and capable of reducing the air resistance of the flyer rotated at a high speed.
CONSTITUTION: The arm-like flyer 17 used for a wire-twisting machine, used for passing a wound-off lapping metal wire over the flange of a reel for the lapping metal wire and guiding the lapping metal wire to a metal cord to be lapped, and installed in the wire-twisting machine in a state capable of being freely rotated on the winding-off axis of the lapping wire reel in the circumferential direction of the axis is characterized in that the arm of the flyer has a plate-like shape and that the front edge and/or the rear edge of the cross section crossing the plate-like part of the arm in its rotation direction has a sharp shape or stream-like shape.
