Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel power storage system capable of reducing motor loss, and improving charge/discharge efficiency.SOLUTION: A flywheel power storage system is provided with: an FW 11 which accumulates energy as rotation energy; a PM motor 12 which converts the rotation energy into electric energy, or converts the electric energy of the FW 11 into the rotation energy by accelerating/decelerating the FW 11; and a VVVF which functions as a control part 50b for causing the PM motor 12 to function as a power generator and performing vector control of the PM motor 12. Current for excitation is not required, and for that, the current can be reduced by using the PM motor 12 for driving the FW 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
