Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flywheel structure in a power storage device capable of optimizing capacity and reducing costs by forming a hybrid type flywheel incorporating advantages of each of fiber-reinforced plastic or metal.SOLUTION: In a power storage device which stores electric energy as kinetic energy by operating a flywheel 8 under ultralow temperature and high vacuum by rotation via a superconductive magnetic bearing, an inner peripheral part 20 of the flywheel 8 is formed of a material at small destruction peripheral velocity, and an outer peripheral part 21 of the flywheel 8 is formed of a material at destruction peripheral velocity larger than that of the inner peripheral part 20.
