Abstract:

To save labor required for a manufacturer to measure the characteristics of a voltage controlled oscillator, prepare a modulation data, input a data to a memory, etc., by providing a saw-tooth wave correcting section for steepening the inclination of a saw-tooth wave in response to an inspection command, and the like.

A self-inspecting section 22 provided in a signal processing section 8 steepens the inclination of a saw-tooth wave by rearranging the modulation data in a memory 13 at a saw-tooth wave correcting section 23 in response to an external inspection command. A correcting point updating section 24 divides the modulation data in a memory 13 by (n) in the direction of the time and selects two out of (n) correcting points, i.e., the dividing points. Two correcting points thus selected are adjusted, at a data comparing section 25, such that a distance data is equal to a measurement data. The second adjusted correcting point is employed as a following first correcting point and sequentially adjusted and corrected modulation data are stored in the memory 13. Consequently, a modulation data, i.e., a saw-tooth voltage where the FM linearity of a transmission signal is improved, is obtained and labor required for a manufacturer to measure the output characteristics can be saved.
