Title:
FM MULTIPLEX RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS641345
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make decision whether correction or interpolation is seriously considered selectable, by interpolating PCM sound signals with the mean value of the samples before and after an error, when the error is detected, and moreover, changing the final threshold of (272,190) codes in the PCM sound signals.

CONSTITUTION: A parity section 206 is constituted of 82 parity bits encoded with (272, 190) codes in corresponding to 190 bits arranged in one column of information of sounds and data. Namely, one packet is constituted of 190 information bits and 82 parity bits and the total is encoded with the (272, 190) codes having 272 bits in the lateral direction. Therefore, when an error which exceeds the correcting capacity occurs and the error is detected, the error can be interpolated on the receiving side. Furthermore, by switching with a mode control code (MC) 202, a data signal section 204 and parity section 205 are caused to become codes CRC for error detection only and to be used as error detecting bits, so that the error detecting capacity by means of the (272, 190) codes can be increased and the ADPCM sound signal interpolating capacity is improved.
