Title:
FOAM POLYETHYLENE INSULATED WIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0581932
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent collapse in a manufacturing process and at the time of use and to heighten reliability by improving mechanical strength.

CONSTITUTION: An insulator is formed by coating the periphery of conductors 1 with foam polyethylene 2. Resin having a density 0.940 to 0.958g/cm3, a melt flow rate (MFR) 0.03 to 1.00g/10min, the weight of an average molecular weight (Mw) not exceeding 300000 and the relation of the melt flow rate to the weight average molecular weght satisfies the formula log10 (MFR)+Mw/30000>4 respectively while at least containing high density polyethylene is used as a base polymer of the insulator.
