Abstract:

To suppress the foam to be generated on the water surface of an aeration tank over a wide range of the aeration tank when the water to be treated is aerated.

A foam suppressing unit 30 is installed in a decomposition tank 11 for decomposing garbage by a microbe. An aeration unit 39 for supplying air is arranged in the decomposition tank 11. The foam suppressing unit 30 is provided with a motor 31 having a rotary shaft 32, a rotating body 37 fixed to the rotary shaft 32 in a position higher than the water surface WL of the water W to be treated and a sirocco fan 33 fixed to the rotary shaft 32 in a position higher than that of the rotating body 37. The sirocco fan 33 sucks air from below and discharges the sucked air sidewise. The rotating body is formed into a propeller shape and has four plate-shaped blades extending radially.
