Title:
FOAMABLE BATHING AGENT FOR INHIBITING FLOATING OF FUMARIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03112922
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject bathing agent, capable of generating gaseous carbon dioxide by adding thereof into bath water and suppressing floating of fumaric acid without any residual bubbles by blending a specific amount of a specified water-soluble polymer compound and surfactant in a bathing agent containing the fumaric acid and a carbonate.

CONSTITUTION: A bathing agent, obtained by blending one or two or more water-soluble polymer compounds selected from polyvinylpyrrolidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol and a surfactant, such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or sucrose ester of a fatty acid, as a floating inhibitor for fumaric acid generated in dissolution in bath water and residual bubble preventive agent in respective amounts of 1-20wt.% and <0.1wt.% based on the fumaric acid in a bathing agent containing the fumaric acid and a carbonate, such as NaHCO3. The aforementioned agent is capable of generating gaseous carbon dioxide in adding thereof into bath water and imparting moderate stimulation to the skin, improving blood circulation, promoting recovery from fatigue and metabolism and reducing production cost using the inexpensive fumaric acid.
