Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a foamed polyester sheet having uniform fine cells and excellent high-temp. resistance and to provide a method for producing it. CONSTITUTION:This sheet comprises 100 pts.wt. crystalline polyester resin having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 1.0 and 0.01-5 pts.wt. inorganic nucleating agent selected from glasses, minerals, and mixtures thereof. It may further contain 0.01-5 pts.wt. compound selected from organic acids, Ca, Zn, Mg, Ba, Al, Pb, and Mn salts of the acids, and esters of the acids. The method in the title comprises incorporating an inert gas into a melt of the ingredients with kneading.
