Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately prevent a foamed synthetic resin stock solution from penetrating into a stitched cover and oozing out and at the same time, show an adequate feeling of softness by providing a raw material dispersing plate of flexible material facing the inside of an open part for the formed synthetic resin stock solution on the inner part of the stitched cover.
SOLUTION: This foamed head rest molded integrally with a skin consists of a metal stay fitting 1 with a base part embedded, together with a molded core 3 of a foamed synthetic resin, in a stitched cover 2 of fabric stitched to a specified shape. In addition, a raw material dispersing plate 4 facing the open part 2a of the stitched cover 2 for the injection of a foamed resin stock solution is provided inside the stitched cover 2. This raw material dispersing plate 4 is intended for preventing the foamed resin stock solution to be supplied from an injection nozzle from being concentrically supplied to a single spot on the stitched cover 2 when the stock solution is injected. Thus the foamed resin stock solution is supplied, in a properly dispersed state, into the stitched cover 2 under the moderated injection pressure of the stock solution.
