Abstract:
To provide a focal plane shutter capable of appropriately alleviating impact on a blade even if there is distortion and a twist in the blade in running to prevent deformation and break of the blade, and an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A focal plane shutter includes a buffer member 60 molded by an elastic member for alleviating impact on a blade, including an abutment unit 60a that abuts on one side unit at a traveling direction side of a blade that reaches a travel end position to extend in parallel to a surface of a shutter bottom board and internally including a plurality of cavity sections 60c. The plurality of cavity sections 60c are dispersedly arranged over an entire cut-off surface when the buffer member 60 is cut off at a surface orthogonal to an extending direction of the abutment unit 60a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
