Abstract:
This focal-plane shutter is provided with: a base plate having an opening for exposure; a blade group which opens and closes the opening; an arm connected to the blade group; and a drive mechanism section which is connected to the arm and which drives the blade group via the arm, wherein the blade group and the arm are connected by means of a coupling that has a shaft part and a head part having a thickness of not greater than 0.1 mm.
