Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal-plane shutter and an optical instrument which solve a problem when a buffer member that absorbs impact in stopping a curtain is employed.SOLUTION: A focal-plane shutter comprises: a base plate having an opening; a curtain that opens/closes the opening; a drive source for driving the curtain; a drive lever driven by the drive source; a drive arm that is connected to the drive lever and drives the curtain; a regulation part that regulates a stop position of the drive lever; and an elastically deformable buffer member. When the drive lever, which is being driven, comes into contact with the regulation part and stops, at least one of the drive arm and the curtain comes into contact with the buffer member instantaneously and stops apart from the buffer member.
