Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focal plane shutter of which a rear blade group or light-shield blade does not come into contact with a low-pass filter or infrared-cut glass disposed on a front surface of a solid-state image pickup element when quickly stopped upon completing an operation of spreading the rear blade group or light-shield blade, and which, as a matter of course, has no scratch.SOLUTION: The focal plane shutter is adapted to comprise: a first shutter substrate that has an aperture for a photographing optical path; a second shutter substrate that has an aperture for the photographing optical path, and constitutes a blade chamber between the first shutter substrate and a second shutter substrate, and is disposed on an imaging device side farther than the first shutter substrate in a camera; a blade group that is composed of a slit formation blade opening/closing the aperture for the photographing optical path and forming an exposure slit so as to close the aperture upon an exposure and a light-shield blade at least adjacent to the slit formation blade; a cum that is provided on a blade group tip end side with respect to the aperture on the first or second shutter substrate; and a cum follower that is guided by the cum, and is provided on a light-shield blade tip side adjacent to the slit formation blade.
