Abstract:
To provide a focus control device with which it is possible to suppress unintended focus movement when switched from AF to MF.SOLUTION: A focus control device 5 comprises: difference calculation means 52 for calculating a difference between a current focus position and a focus indication position corresponding to a rotation position of an operation knob; focus motion select means 50 for selecting either AF or MF focus motion by an instruction of an operator; and focus motion switching means 53 for indicating AF focus motion to an imaging lens 1 when AF is selected, and indicating MF focus motion to the imaging lens 1 when a difference calculated by the difference calculation means 52 is smaller than or equal to a preset threshold when MF is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
