A principal part of a fog lamp 1 comprises a reflecting mirror 3, lamp 4 positioned in a concaved curved surface 3a of this reflecting mirror and a front lens 5 opposed to the reflecting mirror 3. The lamp 4 is arranged at a right angle relative to the main optical axis 8, and a long and narrow light source is constituted in a horizontal axial direction with a vehicle serving as the reference. The front lens 5 is equally divided into five parts respectively in a presupposed horizontal/vertical axial direction, in a central section 10 comprising nine small regions presenting a cross shape, a transparent part 11 having no lens effect intended relative to reflecting light 6 or a prism part 12 bending in the right or left direction are provided. As a result, when the fog lamp 1 is lighted, by the transparent part 11 or prism part 12 of the central section 10, a high light intensity band for distant irradiation is constituted in light distribution.
