Abstract:
To provide a foil transfer apparatus capable of inhibiting conveyance of first and second sheets in such a state that the rear end part of the first sheet and the front end part of the second sheet overlap.SOLUTION: A foil transfer apparatus comprises: a pickup roller 11A; a rear end detection sensor SS1 for detecting a sheet S; a width detection sensor SS2 disposed at the upstream of the rear end detection sensor SS1 in a transfer direction and at a position different from that of the rear end detection sensor SS1 in a width direction; and a control part. The control part supplies a second sheet S2 at the timing when the width detection sensor SS2 does not detect a first sheet S1 after supplying the first sheet S1. The control part stops the supply of a second sheet S2 when the rear end detection sensor SS1 detects the first sheet S1 at the timing when a prescribed time elapses after the supply of the second sheet S2 is started, and restarts the supply of the second sheet S2 at the timing when the rear end detection sensor SS1 does not detect the first sheet S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
