To provide a foil transfer device including an application part for applying an adhesive to at least a part of a printed object guided through the application part, including a transfer part wherein a transfer layer and support foil form transfer foil at least partially guided around a transfer cylinder and which includes a transfer gap formed by the transfer cylinder formed by improving a transfer cylinder including a groove and an impression cylinder, for at least partially transferring the transfer layer to the printed object from the support foil and is disposed on the downstream side of the application part, and achieving comparatively high speed of timing control.
In this foil transfer device, covering bodies 206 reducing at least adhesion of the rear face of the transfer foil in the transfer cylinder 5 are formed in portions 113, 114, 205 wherein the groove 20 is positioned.
