PURPOSE: To improve insulation characteristic by, when two sheets of metal are piled up, making the faces where burrs occur contact each other for winding.
CONSTITUTION: A metal sheet 7a and a metal sheet 7b are piled together to form a metal sheet of two-sheet construction, and then wound together with an insulation sheet 8, thus a coil is formed. The metal sheets 7a and 7b are set in displacement, and at their end parts, a step is provided, and insulation sheets 9a and 9b of different width cancel the step, so that the end parts of the entire coil position approximately at the same plane. The direction for alignment of two sheets of metal 7a and 7b is on the plane where respective burrs exist, for contact of bath metal sheets. Thus, a burr removing process of metal sheets can be omitted, far easier manufacture and cheaper supply, resulting in a foil winding transformer of higher reliability.
