Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable chair which can be easily folded longitudinally and horizontally.
SOLUTION: A supporting leg structure for the chair comprises four X-shaped frames 1 respectively arranged in a front part, a rear part and two side parts of the chair. Each X-shaped frame 1 comprises a pair of diagonal members 3 connected so as to mutually turn at intermediate parts. Adjacent diagonal members 3 are turnably connected by upper connecting means 4 and lower connecting means 5. In the rear part of the chair, two struts 7 extend upward piercing the lower connecting means 5 and the upper connecting means 4. The upper connecting means 4 can slide along the strut 7. Auxiliary poles 8 are extended adjacently and parallel with the struts 7. Front end parts 12 of armrest members 11 are turnably supported with respect to the support leg structure, and rear end parts 14 are supported on blocks 15 attached to the auxiliary poles 8. The blocks 15 are fixed in positions parallel with a longitudinal direction of the auxiliary poles 8, and the blocks 15 and the armrest members 11 connected so as to mutually turn and slide.
