To provide a foldable container capable of being folded by a simple operation.
This foldable container comprises a rectangular bottom plate 1; a pair of two longitudinal side plates 2 connected to each of the opposing two side edges of the bottom plate 1 through a hinge connection; and a pair of two short side plates 3 connected to each of the opposing two side edges of another set of the bottom plate 1 through a hinge connection. The longitudinal side plates 2 are at first folded onto the bottom plate 1 and subsequently the two short side plates 3 can be folded afterwards onto the two longitudinal folded side plates 2. Then, the short side plates 3 are formed with extension segments 50 to which the side edges of the longitudinal side plates 2 abut when the short side plates 3 are raised first and then the longitudinal side plates 2 are raised. The longitudinal side plates 2 are formed with engagement portions 60 engaged with the upper edges of the extension segments 50 when the longitudinal side plates 2 are abutted against the extension segments 50.
