Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a foldable container wherein an unfolding repulsion when the container is folded is made smaller, and the maximum occupied area and volume when the container is folded are reduced by providing a connecting part between a first side wall and second side wall, at both ends of the second side wall.
CONSTITUTION: An incision 5 and hinge part 6 are provided at the central part of a first side wall 2 of a container 1, and the first side wall 2 is constituted to be turnable around the hinge part 6. A second side wall 3 consists of one rectangular plate member, and a bottom wall 4 is constituted of two members which can be separated at the center. Then, the ends of protuberances 2b on both sides of the first side walls 2 and the ends of the second side walls 3 are connected by a hinge part 8. At the connecting part A, the first side wall 2 turns to the second side wall 3 and is folded inward, and thus, a container 1 is folded. By providing the connecting part A to connect the side walls 2 and 3 on the second side wall 3 side, the folded length of the container 1 becomes shorter by the thicknesses of members (T2-T1) ×2, and a maximum occupied area and volume of the container 1 when being folded become smaller.
