Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable seat device for a vehicle preventing error operation of a unlocking mechanism for releasing a floor lock by means of a very simple structure in an ordinary usage when an occupant is seated and exhibiting improved safety.
SOLUTION: The foldable seat device is provided with a cover member covering a floor unlocking mechanism in a seated condition in which a seat cushion and a seat back are not folded down, and in the cover member, one end is fixed to the seat cushion and the back part of the foldable seat back, while the other end is fixed to the seat cushion via an expansible member. When the seat back is folded forward, the cover member is moved upward and operation of the unlocking mechanism is allowed.
