Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shear, shred, and pulverize chips difficult to be pulverized, e.g., stainless steel chips, and discharge the resulting chips continuously by continuously putting the chips produced following machining works in a container and tearing off the chips owing to combined effects of hammers which rotate at high speed in the container and of projected parts attached to the inner wall of the container.
CONSTITUTION: Bulky chips discharged following machining works are supplied continuously to a low cylindrical container through a chip supplying hole formed in the center part of an upper cover 1 and the chips are moved to the circumferential part by the centrifugal force of a rotary disk 7, wherein the container is provided with pulverizing projected parts 13 formed in the lower side of the inner wall, hammers in the lower and center part which rotates at high speed, and the rotary disk 7 which prevents the chips from scattering and is set sufficiently above the pulverizing projected parts. The chips are made to fall to the pulverizing part under the dropping open part between the rotary disk and the cylindrical container, and while being prevented from scattering and going out of the container, the chips are shredded and pulverized and the volume of the chips is lessened by shearing, pulling, and impacting functions of the hammer 4 rotating at high speed and the pulverizing projected parts 13 on the chip and the pulverized chips are continuously discharged to the outside of the container through a chip discharging outlet.
