A plurality of transverse long step boards 3 provided with a plurality of square-sectioned grooves 4 on its upper surface at a constant interval are arranged in parallel to each other to insert tip ends of a first step bar 27 and a second step bar 28 of a reciprocating type conveying facility 12, a plurality of steel board chains 6 are disposed under it to orthogonally cross the step boards, a long skewer 8 is skewed and attached in a long hole 5 of a projection part at the back face of the transverse long step board 3 and the hole 7 of a link board of the steel board chain 6, and the steel board chains 6 and a plurality of the transverse long step boards 3 are combined in a reed screen-like state to construct the folding board type conveyer to be bent. The reciprocating type conveying facility allows to automatically transfer passengers of the folding board type conveyor onto the first step bar 27 and the second step bar 28.
