Abstract:
To provide a novel type of folding device of a printing press, a digital printing press having such the folding device, and a method for producing print products.
In a folding device (10) of a printing press, which has a folding blade cylinder (11) and is used for folding signatures, the signatures (15) to be folded can be fed to a jaw cylinder (20) arranged downstream of the folding blade cylinder (11) via the folding blade cylinder (11) while performing transverse folds. In the folding device (10), a cylinder (12) is arranged upstream of the folding blade cylinder (11), and on the cylinder (12), signatures (15) of an arbitrary number can be collected, prior to forming of the transverse folds.
