Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make change in height possible by a simple structure in an article of furniture having folding legs, an article of furniture structured by including front and rear connection horizontal rods 3a, 3b in which cross legs 1a, 1b with leg rods 11 made to cross for an intermediate cross part and freely rotatably connected (free-rotatable connection part 12) are left and right oppositely arranged and in which the opposing cross legs 1a, 1b are connected in between their upper ends or lower ends, and by including attachable/detachable horizontal rods which connect between the front and rear ends of the leg rods connecting the front/rear connection horizontal rods in the cross legs.SOLUTION: The attachable/detachable horizontal rods (viz. top boards 2A, 2B) are freely rotatably supported pivotally on the rear leg rod 11, with the tip end part formed in a hook shape which is made engageable with the engaging receptacle of the front connection horizontal rod 3a. The front connection horizontal rod 3a is freely rotatably supported pivotally between the opposing cross legs. Also, the engaging receptacle that becomes a part for the attachable/detachable horizontal rods to be engaged is formed in a cross sectional shape in which the upper face height and the upper face shape are equalized when a pivotally supported axial position is in an eccentric position and rotated with a prescribed angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
