Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form stoppers for preventing the rotation of a top plate and a pivotally supporting member for pivotally supporting an operating rod with the small number of parts in a folding table.
SOLUTION: A folding table comprises a top plate 14 rotatable between a substantially horizontally using position and a substantially vertically folding position, an operating rod 21 disposed on the lower surface of the top plate 14 and engaging with and disengaging from a strut 4 when the top plate 14 is located at one of its using position or its released position to prevent the top plate 14 from rotating toward the other position or permit the top plate from rotating to the other position, a pivotally supporting member 16 for pivotally supporting the operating rod 21 on the lower surface of the top plate 14, a first stopper 16a abutting on the upper surface of the strut 4 when the top plate 14 reaches its using position to prevent the top plate 14 from rotating to an opposite side to its folding position and a second stopper 16b abutting on the side surface of the strut 4 when the top plate 14 reaches its folding position to prevent the top plate 14 from rotating to an opposite side to its using position. The first and second stoppers 16a and 16b are arranged in the pivotally supporting member 16.
