Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a process for relating an address data base and map data with each other by counting the number of successive matching character strings between a character string to be examined in the address data base and plural candidate data in a determined retrieval range and calculating a matching rate, and selecting a specific candidate character strings out of the candidate character strings and generating link information. SOLUTION: A retrieval object address determining means 141 in a memory 140 determines the range of map data 161 to be retrieved by using data on addresses in the address data base 151. A character string matching rate calculating means 142 calculates the matching rate from the number of matching character strings between a successive character string in the character string to be retrieved and plural candidate character strings in the range determined by the retrieval object address determining means 141. A link information generating means 143 generates the link information 152 relating specific data in the map data 161 with specific data in the address data base 151 whose matching rate is calculated by the character string matching rate calculating means 142.
