To provide a folding type bag foldable when an inside is empty, and usable like a basket when putting commodities into.
A folding type bag 1 includes a reinforcement plate 5 in the inside of a flexible bag body 3 whose upper part is openable. The reinforcement plate 5 includes a bottom plate part 50 superposed in the inside on a bottom surface part 30 of the bag body 3, and four side plates 55 superposed in the inside on a square cylinder-like trunk part 35 of the bag body 3. In the reinforcement plate 5, the four side plates 55 have the side plates adjacent to each other divided, and are connected with each other through a foldable part 500 on the edge of the bottom plate part 50. As a result of this, when the inside is empty, the four side plates 55 can be put into a folded state by folding in the foldable part 500 and superposing on the bottom plate part 50. The foldable part 500 has a spring property for erecting the side plates 55 superposed on the bottom plate part 50 in a folded state.
