To provide a folding type portable radio which copes with a plurality of frequency bands, and is made thinner.
A control part 5, a radio part 6, and a matching switching part 7 are present on the first circuit board 4 of a first casing 1. The matching switching part 7 includes a switching means 8, a first circuit element 9, and a second circuit element 10. An antenna element 11, a power supply part 12 which supplies power to the antenna element 11 are present inside a second casing 2, and a matching circuit 14 connected to the power supply part 12 is present on the second circuit board 13 of the second casing 2. The radio part 6 and the antenna element 11 perform impedance matching using the matching circuit 14. The matching circuit 14 and the radio part 6 are connected to each other by a transmission line including a coaxial cable 15. The switching means 8 of the matching switching part 7 is connected to the transmission line.
