Abstract:

To dispense with time and labor for operating a locking device independently from the work for letting a seat back fall down forward and erecting and setting it.

This folding type seat for the automobile is provided with a reclining device 3 erecting and holding the seat back 1 so as to let it fall down forward toward a seat cushion 2, the locking device for installing the seat cushion 2 by a striker 4 erected on a floor surface on a vehicle body floor F, and the locking device 4a operating in the interlocking relationship with operation of the reclining device 3. Among the locking devices 4a, 4b provided on both left and right sides of the seat cushion 2, the locking device 4b locked or unlocked by usual operation is provided on one side, and the locking device 4a operating in the interlocking relationship with operation of the reclining device 3 is provided on the other side.
