A folding type storage case 1 comprises a storage case main body 2 having a groove 14 opened outwardly for folding a mechanical key 4 in a manner frequently being taken out and in, a turning mechanism 3 capable of turning the mechanical key 4 and projecting it outwardly from the storage case main body 2, and an operation button capable of restricting and releasing the rotation of the mechanical key 4 by the turning mechanism 3 for the storage case main body 2. A turning speed of the mechanical key 4 can be changed by the turning mechanism 3 with a friction plate and a friction pad, and the turning speed of the mechanical key 4 can be reduced in the final stage of the rotation of the mechanical key.
