Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food additive by which settlement is not executed even when it is left for a long time in a liquid such as milk, etc., an excellent distribution state is held and also mixture is executed with a high density by improving distribution stability in the liquid.
SOLUTION: The food additive is the one with excellent distribution stability in the liquid, which is constituted of needle-shaped or columnar inorganic matter and it is favorable that the inorganic matter are provided with 0.5-100 μm long diameter and 0.01-5.0 μm short diameter and more than 4.0 aspect ratio. The inorganic matter are also preferable to be a calcium carbonate. Preferably calcium carbonate consists of aragonite crystal. Preferably, the BET specific surface area of the needle-shaped or columnar inorganic matter is 2.5-50 cm2/g and the inorganic matter is a composite combined with an organic food additive.
