Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antidiabetic food or antiobestic food each having high activity, and excellent in hyperglycemia inhibitory action after eating.
SOLUTION: This antidiabetic food or antiobestic food is such one as to contain a carbohydrate digestive enzyme inhibitory substance and a sugar absorption inhibitory substance as active ingredients; wherein especially β-glucosidase inhibitory substance (i.e., 1-deoxynojirimycin) or α-amylase inhibitory substance (i.e., α-amylase inhibitory protein or tannin) in used as the carbohydrate digestive enzyme inhibitory substance, and at least one kind selected from saponin, conduritol A, gurmarin and dietary fiber is used as the sugar absorption inhibitory substance.
