PURPOSE: To readily obtain a food contained in a container for cooking in a microwave oven, by containing grains and water, etc., in a container having almost the same shape of an inner sidewall as that of a container for containing a product, thermally cooking, cooling the cooked grains, transferring the cooled cooked grains to a container having microwave penetrability and heat resistance for containing the product and packaging the container.
CONSTITUTION: Water and, as necessary, ingredient materials, and/or seasoning are added to grains, such as rice, and contained in a container (e.g. consisting of aluminum) having an almost the same shape of inner sidewall as that of a container for a product and thermally cooked. The resultant cooked rice 4 is cooled in the container in a state of the kept inner shape and then transferred to the container (e.g. consisting of polypropylene) having, e.g. small protrusions 6, for containing the product and packaged to afford the aimed food for cooking in a microwave oven.
