The food container 1 includes a container body 2 and a sheet of lid 4 for covering it. In the container body 2, at least a main storing recessed part 21 and a sub-storing recessed part 22 capable of storing an auxiliary container 3 with a projecting piece-like tub part 32 on the edge part 31, are formed. In the sub-storing recessed part 22, a part 28 to be fitted capable of fitting by sealing tightly with a fitting part 42 formed on the lid 4, is formed on the inside of the edge part 26. When the fitting part 42 and the part 28 to be fitted are fitted, the tub part 32 is held between them, and is positioned on the outside of the sub-storing recessed part 22.
