Abstract:

PURPOSE: To satisfy quality on a food level and permit welding and decoration by forming a conveyor belt comprising an outer polyamide layer and an inner layer of a thermoplastic block polymer.

CONSTITUTION: An outer layer is composed of polyamide of a food grade such as PA11, and an inner layer is composed of a thermoplastic block polymer such as polyether-esteramide PEEA. Both components are simultaneously extruded in an optional method, preferably by joint-extrusion using a flat die to manufacture a conveyor belt. The thickness of the conveyor belt is varied according to purposes, but in this case, the thickness of the polyamide layer is 5-500 μm, preferably 10-250 μm, and the thickness of the block polymer layer is 0.2-20 mm, preferably 0.4-10 mm. Since this conveyor belt can be butt-welded, extra thickness is not generated, and cleaning is easy to prevent the infiltration of soil and dust. A decorative element such as a mark can also be put.
