Abstract:

To provide a rounding device and a rounding method, capable of rounding bread dough by forming a surface with firm texture on the front without damaging bread dough much at all.

A food dough rounding device includes a conveyance device (9) for conveying food dough (7) divided into a requirement, and a pair of molding belt devices (11 and 21) arranged on the conveyance device and opposed to each other. Both ends of each of molding belts (14 and 24) of the molding belt devices (11 and 21) are arranged along the vertical direction, a projection is provided on the lower end of the molding belt, molding surfaces (19 and 29) are formed on sides opposed to each other, and the molding surfaces (19 and 29) are provided in an approaching/separating manner.
